Storyline

From Robin Williams, the star of “Mrs. Doubtfire”, comes the performance of several lifetimes. Bill Forsyth (“Local Hero”) directs a series of interlocked tales spanning a mere six thousand years, which follow the trials and tribulations of five different men all called Hector (Williams). As the various Hectors deal with family problems in the Bronze Age, or try to survive as a slave in the Roman Empire or agonize over life in modern day Manhattan, it’s little wonder they begin to suspect that history has a nasty habit of repeating itself!
